Social work task force final report
While I’ve been away, the final report of the social work task force has been published and its fifteen recommendations immediately accepted by the government, which in view of the fact that the government is now going in for ten years of austerity probably means that fine words will lead to zilch progress because no cash will be forthcoming, in spite of the fact that Ed Balls (the redlevant secretary of state) seems to have done well out of the recent pre-budget report and so has the Department of Health (the other relevant ministry).
