Touchbase, the Department of Work and Pensions newsletter arrives, and notifies me of a further personalisation initiative from the government; the first paragraph of the news item focuses on shifting funding from assessment and care management to ‘user-led’ services, presumably in the social services. Affecting all care services, though, is the proposal to get people to stay in work ‘when they become ill or an existing condition worsens’.
